Chiropractic is a regulated primary natural health care which focuses upon the neuromusculoskeletal (nervous system, muscle, spine and joints) system. A Chiropractor is a 5 year specialist trained highly qualified professional who is regulated by the General Chiropractic Council. The title of ‘Chiropractor’ is protected by law.

Chiropractic uses spinal adjustment, soft tissue and joint manipulation to reduce pain and symptoms, improve function and increase mobility. Chiropractic also offers a package of care including advice on self-help, therapeutic exercises, nutrition and lifestyle changes to help your body to heal itself naturally.

Chiropractors use a range of techniques to reduce pain, improve function and increase mobility, including hands-on manipulation of the spine. As well as manual treatment, chiropractors are able to offer a package of care which includes advice on self-help, therapeutic exercises and lifestyle changes.

Chiropractic treatment involves safe, often gentle, specific spinal manipulation to free joints in the spine or other areas of the body that are not moving properly. Apart from manipulation, chiropractors may use a variety of techniques including ice, heat, ultrasound, exercise and acupuncture as well as advice about posture and lifestyle.

Meet Christal

I am the in house Chiropractor of  the Therapists on The High Street, Reading. I was born in Hong Kong. Being raised in a multi-cultural city and having parents who love travelling, I was lucky enough to be exposed to different cultures. Studying aboard was always my dream and my adventure in England began when I was lucky enough to complete my school years in the New Forest. I graduated from the world renowned Chiropractic university, Anglo European College of Chiropractic.

Why Chiropractic? I first came into contact with natural healthcare when I was 12, I was researching how to help a rescued kitten suffering from rear leg paralysis. I came across a book about animal acupuncture massage and thought I would give it a try. After a few weeks of care the miracle appeared!! The kitten began to gain mobility and within a few months it began to walk. This was incredible. I found it fascinating and it initiated the spark that inspired me on the power of self-healing in the body and got me one step closer to chiropractic.

My interest for Chiropractic began after I observed a Chiropractor. I loved the holistic approach to not only improve symptoms but also help achieve optimum health. My true passion began after I witnessed a chiropractor adjusting a baby, seeing how such gentle treatment created such a change in mobility, symptoms and function.

My passion on Chiropractic gave me a new perspective on Health. It teaches me how to listen to my body and be connected to my own health. I enjoy playing lots of different sports and Chiropractic helps me enhance my performance by keeping my spine and nervous system in optimum health. I have experience working with marathon and triathlon runners and helping them achieve their goals. I strongly believe chiropractic and sports therapist will provide you the ultimate result on your sports performance!

I am looking forward to assisting you to reach your optimum health and work by your side in your recovery and ongoing health journey.
